Use the waiting time to prepare
Check VFS’s current appointment day guidance and the checklist for your category. General short-stay requirements include a completed, signed application form, a personal statement explaining the trip, and a passport meeting the stated validity and blank-page rules. Bring originals for presentation and photocopies for submission unless instructions specifically require an original.
Check that travel and accommodation evidence covers the whole trip. The general checklist also requests insurance covering the entire stay and Schengen area, and three months of bank statements showing your name and address. Plan for every applicant to attend
Every applicant, including children and infants, must attend in person with an appointment booked online. A minor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Make sure everyone can travel to London and that the application paperwork will be ready for the date you book.
